Enamored by the pageantry of Disney's Adventureland in enchantatiki room as a kid Corey leans towards the over-the-top themed aspects of Tiki as well as the history behind its rise, fall and revival. He joined two other local longtime TikiCentral members in their search for Missouri & Kansas Tiki and Polynesian Pop history and in 2017 he helped found the MOKANtiki Facebook Group to mobilize and connect the fractured Missouri and Kansas Tiki scene and give them a place to share their love of the subculture and grow interest in it for newcomers. Corey's home exotica bar, The Flora Lounge, is where he proudly displays his growing collection of Missouri and Kansas Tiki history.
